Description
A chair of sophisticated aesthetics in a pure and compelling form. The natural webbing is twisted by a 35 - millimeter horizontal and 50 - millimeter vertical webbing - band, making it an outstanding design element all the while fitting the chair’s dimensions to perfection. This element continues upon the backrest for a fully complete interaction. The backrest is also twisted on both sides so no matter which angle it is seen from the design is complete. The natural webbing makes the chair particularly comfortable and adds, as the solid oak, to the quality for a long - lasting usage. The armrest adds to this elegance and comfort with a widened area to lean on and ends with a natural spot for your hands. Even though the armrest is in a natural height, they stand out as the backrest dimension is cut down the minimum.

Description
Originally, the Nest Cork Paper Bin was designed for the project Furnishing Utopia: Hands to Work, the third in a series of exhibitions exploring the design legacy of the Shakers. The exhibition was dedicated to the theme of chores and the objects we associate with them . The cork paper bin was a take on the classic paper bin but was also intended to be in general use in the home as magazine rack or for different kinds of everyday objects . The crumbled look resulted from the designer wanting the product to be flat packed during shipping, eventually creating one of its most characteristic features. To better control the shape of the bin , splines were inserted in the top and bottom, giving it a perfectly round footprint. Seen from the side , it has a softer and more textile character. Its double layer of ultra - fine cork fabric – hand sewn together – as well as steam bent wood handles define the object’s overall quality and rich detailing. In addition, they underline its two main functions : to be carried and to be folded.

The construction may look rather simply , but it is technically difficult to master. The solid piece of wood has to be carved very accurately to ensure the highest comfort. At the end of the process every model is finished by hand before going into a three - step process of staining or oiling surface treatments.

This versatile and high quality foldable three-step ladder is functional and well crafted. It features a deep-set top step for extra safety and comfort and a significant wooden support bar that finishes the design and provides good balance.

The ladder can be folded and stored on the wall with the small wooden hook included, meaning the ladder can then double as a decorative object on the wall. The ultra strong flagline prevents the ladder from clapping together when in use as well as preventing the ladder from damaging the wall when stored away.
