Arcus Shelf is designed by Nanna Aakjær Svendsen, drawing significant inspiration from her grandfather Jørgen Aakjær Jørgensen. The purpose of Arcus Shelf was to create a shelf that, beyond its functionality, would also function as a piece of art in itself.
The shelves share the same design language and incorporate old craftsmanship techniques. Something Nanna Aakjær particularly drew inspiration from her grandfather is a classic chamfered edge, seen on several of Jørgen Aakjær's coffee tables from the 1950s. The edge has been given a new function as a beautiful finishing touch to the shelves. The organic shapes of the shelves make them a natural part of the wall when mounted.
Arcus Shelf is available in three different sizes and offers multiple possibilities for use. Use the shelf as a classic picture ledge, a practical storage shelf, or as a sculptural expression in harmony with the home's other pictures and wall art.
Arcus Shelf is available in variants such as white oiled oak, smoked oak, and natural oil.
